LSA Islay Connoisseur Set With Walnut Tray

A particularly deluxe set of glassware for whisky fans, made by the Master Glass Blowers at LSA International. This set includes a mouth-blown decanter (which has a capacity of 1 litre) with a walnut base, two tumblers, two tasting glasses complete with lids, a water jug, and two walnut coasters, all within a walnut tray. The decanter stopper is ground to ensure the perfect fit with the neck of the decanter. The rim of the jug is scissor cut by expert craftsmen. The wooden coasters, decanter base and high-walled tray are shaped from American walnut, which is treated with food-safe oils to bring out the grain and depth of colour. The wood is sustainably-sourced from responsibly-managed European forests. LSA International is a London-based design studio specialising in contemporary handmade glass.

James Bentley Whiskey Glasses (Set 2)

James Bentley is an American brand dedicated to revolutionising the whiskey-drinking experience by combining technology, art and cutting-edge design. The James Bentley Glass is a double-wall transparent nosing tumbler. Each part of the glass (inner and outer wall) is made separately by hand-blown methods using high-temperature borosilicate glass. The glasses are a 200ml capacity, which is more than enough to add an ice ball - this set includes ice moulds for that very purpose.

Kilchoman Machir Bay Gift Pack

The Gospel is one of my favourite Australian distilleries, making superb Rye Whiskey and Rye Whiskey-based cocktails. My preferred Rye is the slightly sweet Solera Cask (vs the Straight, aged in virgin oak) though I own and regularly consume both! The beauty of the Whisky Club is that there is no ongoing commitment to purchase the whiskies each month. Purchase a gift card for her, and she can spend it on whatever whisky takes her fancy over the coming months, and you don't need to worry about purchasing the right one. Past whiskies include Sullivan's Cove French Oak, Wild Turkey Single Barrel Select, Pappy Van Winkle Family Reserve 20 yo, Lagavulin 26 yo, and Paul John Port Cask; they offer a broad mix of world whiskies. Scotch Malt Whisky Society (World Wide)

We joined the Scotch Malt Whisky Society (SMWS) again this year and have had the best time meeting fellow whisky fans at SMWS events. We've also enjoyed quite a few virtual tastings (no Uber required to get home), and while the SMWS are known for their Single Cask bottlings, we've found the blended whiskies to be exceptionally good quality and value. The SMWS also have some outstanding rums (R9.9 and R13.2 were favourites) as well as Bourbon, Gin, Cognac and Armagnac. Membership does not include whisky but allows the recipient to buy SMWS bottles and attend events at member's pricing. Membership also gets you access to the private SMWS Vaults in Edinburgh, which is the BEST reason to have an SMWS membership if you live in Scotland or plan to visit.

Harris Tweed Flask with Cups

We have a similar flask set and love it! The stainless steel flask and cups are non-reactive so they won't taint your favourite whisky's flavour (unlike plastic), and the four little cups are perfect while you're out and about adventuring. We used to take ours with us on walks around Islay - there's nothing like a good few miles of stomping through bog and midges, then pausing to enjoy the view (probably still in a cloud of midges) and share a wee dram or two.
